Afternoon Tea

We are proud to offer an afternoon tea with a difference. The idea was to create an afternoon tea which was personal to Mytton Fold and what better way than to link it with our history as a dairy farm.

Mytton Fold was a farm until 1982, when following a farming tragedy, the Hargreaves family started to take in paying guests - and so the hotel was born and has developed under the family's guidance over the last thirty years and more. The hotel and golf club are still privately owned and operated, but a member of Best Western Hotels - the largest group of independent hotels in the world.

Served in a wooden crate, a farm house feel is created from the very start. A selection of sandwiches, cheese and tomato quiche, bagel with smoked salmon and cream cheese, mini cherry scones with whipped cream and preserves, chocolate brownie, cupcakes, chocolate mousse and pink lemonade, give a country feel and fills a hole in our stomachs!
